1966 Panel Truck 1/4 panel

I am getting my Panel on the road after 30 years, this is my first post I have some questions, My rear 1/4 panel is pretty much wasted(thats why I parked it) i think a Fleetside bed 1/4 will work.the damage is under the beltline. No help from body parts companies. Also am trying to find a new gas tank. The Panel only has one mounting strap all the tanks I find have two.Again no help from the parts house. Is the tank different for my Panel, its a shortbed c-10,Thanks for any help.

Re: 1966 Panel Truck 1/4 panel

I used repair panels from a Fleetside to repair my '64 panel. They needed a little persuasion to fit but worked. My gas tank (one strap) sprung a leak. I removed it, cleaned it up, and fiberglass it from from the bottom side to the top. Hasn't leaked in dailey driving for three years.

A '69-'72 Blazer tank is nearly identical to the '63-'66 Suburban/Panel gas tanks. The Blazer tank does not have the indentation for the spare tire, plus some other minor differences.
