No damage to paint. Truck was empty or it would have laid over and took out a utility pole. As it was, the right turn out stack clipped the pole:

Since we are on the COE train. This International is listed locally. One of the "So homely it is cute" crowd.

79 F700 with a 5+2. wow it was only 4 years old then. We worked in the Texas desert (1983). You improvise when you don't have a ladder or a boom truck.

Time for a show before letting it go. Now yours looks best with the polished tank. I see plenty of red and it's a lowboy equipment hauler. Gotta look sharp hauling those yellow dirt machines.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I wish I could get to one of the national shows out west. One day I will. It sucks they have them on Memorial Day... as far as competing with family stuff. ATCA has their national show in Macungie, PA, a few hours away. I'll be catching that. It's Fathers Day weekend.

Cool Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

Spotted these beauties this last weekend my town had their annual celebration and this old GMC 6500 from the 70's? still putting in a hard days work as my town's main pumper she still looks beautiful after all these years later. it's a Smeal pumper with supposedly a F**d running the pump. We have a Kenworth pumper that's about 7 years old but they don't take it out to every fire or accident and, our main attack truck originally ordered by the Nebraska Public Power District got a new career about 20 years ago as our main pumper a 1989 Chevrolet Cheyenne crew cab with a 4 speed with od and cruise and 4x4.

Love that KW!

That green KW in post#1315!! (1st truck) So classy, he nailed it! Nothing extra, not overly fancy, a great classic example done with great taste. My new favorite.

Here is a close second from the ATHS National Show in York, PA '15. I got to talk to the owner while he waited to register. He had just completed it, ground-up every nut and bolt. I think he ran from Kansas to the show

Thanks for posting this photo special K. It's hard to believe how modern looking the Ford pickup looked in the late 50's compared to GM, Dodge, IH etc.
