Re: Stick to Automatic Transmission Swap

Do a search! There is a ton of information on this. Did this myself 20 yrs ago. But can’t remember everything. Shift linkage, starter, flex plate, radiator, drive shaft, remove clutch pedal, rewire neutral safety switch, transmission crossmember. Just a few.

Re: Stick to Automatic Transmission Swap

Im getting ready to do this myself. 1970 C10. Currently has the old top loader 4 speed with granny gear. I want a 700R auto with over drive.
So first I have to change the steering column. Then there is a company called Koogle that sells a rod to make the trans shift with the stock auto gearshift.

You mean Kugel Komponents.
Tranny hook up is the easy part. Biggest pain is removal of the bellhousing crossmember. Those rivets are in a bad spot.
