1972 GMC 402/TH400 Radiator Question
My radiator for a 72 GMC with original 402/TH400 needs a new core and 1 tank that needs to be replaced. Got a quote for $650 to keep it original style or I am being offered an aftermarket for $325 but the transmission lines don't line up............anybody out there know of any radiators that are a direct replacement for an original HARRISON? Thanks!

Re: 1972 GMC 402/TH400 Radiator Question
I am wary of aftermarket radiators that claim "direct fit" after my go around with a Cold Case " Direct Fit" radiator. I got a recored factory copper unit and it was a "direct fit". Nothing to modify but changing my two row brackets out for four row brackets. Plus it came with a nice plate cooler in the tank for the transmission. See link below for more of the story.

Re: 1972 GMC 402/TH400 Radiator Question
I had a brass 4-row and the Cold Case 2-row aluminum radiator dropped right in. I guess some things are just different.

Re: 1972 GMC 402/TH400 Radiator Question
I just replaced a 4 core with a 3 core Champion, bolted right up. But Id recommend new upper and lower rubber mounts for a smaller radiator to hold it in place better.
