Parking brake question
Is there a bracket or clip of some kind that hold the parking brake to the housing? I'm not asking about the end of the cable that attaches with a clevis pin. I have to missing something because when I push down on the emergency brake pedal, it just pulls the cable and does not engage. I hope I am explaining this right.....

There is a bracket that holds the cable to the housing.

This thread should help. If you could post a photo of where you think the problem is it would help. Are you sure the cable is routed through all of the hooks?

I’m pretty sure I have it routed correctly. I’ll get a picture of it Friday morning to show where I think I am missing a clip or something.

Here is a picture of it. Not mine.
The cable goes inside the rear hub and attaches to the brake lever inside the hub with the spring you see across the bottom of it.  Here is another thread on how the cable attaches to the drum. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8161/7...cf38dfa3_c.jpg

I was talking about where the cable attaches to the brake pedal housing under the dash. Guess I could have clarified that....
