Value K20 truck vs 4x4 Suburban

I’m sure I’ll get some conflicting answers here. But what vehicle is valued higher if they’re in the same or similar shape? I’m considering trading my K20 truck for another 4x4 suburban. I don’t want to sell for cash really. I’d rather have the k20 to fiddle with than nothing at all. My family fits better in a Suburban. Any thoughts? Thanks

How nice is your K20 ?? Post some pics...Suburbans are harder to find especially a good rust free one.

I need to renew my membership before I put up for sale or trade or I’ll get flagged here. I’ve had a couple Suburbans now. Just looking for peoples opinions on this.

Burbs are harder to find, but my opinion all things being equal, the truck will bring more money.

Prices are always based on supply and demand. The Suburban market is always limited by the demand side. Where the truck side is more an balanced market thus prices move further up as the product is better. Here is a recent discussion on Suburban pricing if you have not already seen it.

All this probably doesn't matter in a trade situation as you have stated is your preference. In those cases it is more a matter of each party feeling that they will leave the bargain happy.

Good luck on your search. I grew up in Sandpoint and I don't remember ever seeing a Burban as a kid, Wagoneers and Travelalls yes.

Re: Value K20 truck vs 4x4 Suburban

I've noticed an uptick in 4x4 67-72 burbs in the last year or so in SoCal.
Just watched one that was an original paint K20, that had upgraded engine, axles, and other little cool things with functioning rear AC sell for around 25k.

The ones that are turn key are the ones bringing big bucks, where as the ones needing a trailer to bring home are still going pretty cheap all things considered.

Trucks like your K20 LWB are still sought after as well, especially by guys like me who like them. Like for like condition, the LWB K20 will bring more money on the street when in the condition of your truck.

I'm always told by guys when they see my K20 burb, that they want one badly for the family. Since the wife and kids are too much for a pick up, and often times to much for a K5 so they are hunting burbs in good condition.

I think the right burbs bring big money as evidenced by the one that sold on BAT for 42k.
If i wanted a nice Blazer i could go online and pick from several today..Good survivor burbs are very hard to find and command good money if not rusty.
