B 31 Guide lights. My new reverse lights.

I got my hands on one of these and decided to get another. I think they will be cool reverse lights mounted on brackets above my brake lights.

Has anyone here used these before? Where could I find the right gaskets?

I'm also tossing around a couple ideas on what to do about the threaded rods. Cut close and drill through then use a new bolt. Or weld it carefully to new brackets. Or possibly try to rethread. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Gaskets you may have to make. Your choice of gasket material.

I'd take the light apart and see how the stud is fastened to it. It may be a lot simpler to take care of than you think.

I was afraid of that. Thankfully one has an old gasket I can copy. I think the stud is pressed in.

Cut the studs off and drilled through them. Worked like a charm! Cut, drilled, and painted some brackets and I hope to have them on this weekend.

How were/are you going to activate these lights once in place? Separate switch or activated by the shifter?

My wiring harness has wires for them and I have a safety switch on my column.

That is going to turn out pretty slick.
