Jimmy Question.......
I know that the first year for K5's was 1969, but I am pretty sure that the Jimmy's started later...... being that I have been looking for a 70 (like the grille) and haven't seen one, did they not come out until 71 or 72??
take it easy!

I beleive 70 was the first year for Jimmys. GMC's web page has a history, or they used to, that said what year.

1970 was indeed the first year for the GMC Jimmy. Go to Google search (www.google.com), and just type in "1970 GMC Jimmy" and pick one. Happy Hunting!
Sorry I can't provide a pic, but the board has a limit on the size of attachments. Oh, and I have to say this. If I could find a lady like yourself that was as into these trucks or even classic cars in general that looked like you, I would die a happy man. |

From the GM site:
1970 - The Jimmy is born–in 2WD or 4WD with a removable hardtop. It competes in the off-road vehicle market.
