Factory or Homemade?
I noticed while I taking apart the frame of my '65 C20, that the trailing arms have plates welded to the bottom and top of them. I am wondering if these plates were added for the 3/4 ton trailing arm trucks from the factory or did a PO add these to the truck?

Re: Factory or Homemade?
I think my 66 C20 had em. Still not sure of the origin of the plates.

Re: Factory or Homemade?
All C20's that I have seen had those from the factory to stiffen up the trailing arms. They also have a brace from the front of the trailing arm crossmember over to the frame rail, that is not present on a C10

Re: Factory or Homemade?
Would these reinforcements be something worthwhile on a regular C10?

Re: Factory or Homemade?
3881314 is the GM part number. C20 from 1960-1972 . Will also work on C10 as this is the later replacement part that was used to repair C10s
