Question Will 73-87 shoulder belts work in our cabs?

I was searching the wrecking yard today for some parts I’ve been needing, came across a square body truck (not sure on exact year). It had a nice set of shoulder belts, I thought it would be a cool little retro fit into my ‘65.

Has anyone used the square body shoulder belts in the 60-66 trucks?

Re: Will 73-87 shoulder belts work in our cabs?

Thanks for the reply, all the threads look like aftermarket seat belts. I did a search before posting this and didn’t see anything about the square body shoulder belts. Just curious if anyone has tried it or will they just not work?

Re: Will 73-87 shoulder belts work in our cabs?

I'm putting belts from a 78 in mine. I converted to big window and reinforced the rear panel where the shoulder strap would attach before installing in the truck...welded on a nut from the backside to accept the should anchor. Measured from the 78 top of seat bottom(bum portion) to the shoulder strap mount and used the same distance on the 65.

That’s a good idea! I wish that I would have thought of that before I welded in my BBW panel. You should post some pics when you get it finished
