I always do an oil/filter/tune up on my '92 GMC with 291,xxx miles and it still passes with no problems. My '70 only gets the Safety Inspection.

Sometime in 2005 the Austin metro area in Central Texas is poised to start emissions testing. Fortunately, two of my three vehicles will be exempt since they are more than 24 years old, if you don't count the ground up restorations (which they don't).
