That's why you don't do the friction plates out of the diff
It's a few weeks ago. Maybe it helps some other people. One of the owners bevor pulled out the friction plates out of the diff.
It runs like a open diff, but not very long. But the time comes, when one of the spider gears moves in the diff carrier and the c clip dropes out. I had a lot of luck. I drove very slowly at this time. Now i got a good Eaton limited slip in my Truck. And this will never happen. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sorry that happened to you but that helped me make up my mind about which differential to use.
Thanks.

nice truck, glad you kept it under control and didn't have an accident!
but I have to ask out of curiosity, what's going on with the exhaust? looks like a 4-5" single pipe under the cross member to a v-band, wye pipe to two very large mufflers?? kind of unusual from my experience, was this done for a purpose?

Nice truck...good save...Yikes on the exhaust requirements...in the US that 1 big pipe would turn and go strait up behind the cab on a step side...no muffler...Hillbilly deluxe.

Man you got so lucky, no wreck or body damage. Good looking truck! How quiet is your exhaust?

It's really quiet. A bit louder than an original exhaust . I like it, because i drive the truck every day.
