A couple tricks/tips I hope you find helpful. Share yours...

Learned a few tricks this week. One is you can remove and replace the wiper switch from the top by going down through the driver’s side defrost vent. Much easier than contorting yourself under the dash to go up from below.

The second is WD40 eliminates sticky tacky rubber steering wheels. This K10 has a very nice Saddle colored steering wheel that was sticky and as a result had a nasty black grey color to it. Simple Green and HOT water got it clean. But it still was tacky/sticky. Sprayed w/WD40 let sit 5-10min then wiped w/clean paper towels. Sticky wheel no more!

Any tricks/tips you want to share?

On the second gen Camaro board I frequent, the sticky steering wheel is a common item. Simple green works good as a cleaner, but many put it in the dishwasher when their wives are not around. LOL.

Once a steering wheel is clean I wipe it pretty heavy with Baby Oil and then after it sits a while wipe it off .

I like the smell of baby oil much better than WD40. I might have to try this on my Z28's wheel when it gets a little warmer outside.
