1970 C10 Disc Brake Conversion
Is it absolutely necessary to change/upgrade the Master Cylinder when I convert my front drum brakes to disk brakes?

The disc brakes use more fluid than the drums do and they will need more fluid as the pads wear down. So in less you like pulling the cap off the master every time before you drive the vehicle It would be best to buy the right one. The bore of the master will be different also to put more pressure on the brake pads. The Proportioning Valves are different keep the rear wheels from locking up.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
