Inspection Tag Thread
Admittedly I didn't look very hard, but I didn't see any existing threads on this: check out this tag I found affixed to my gas tank. Truck is a 1968 C20 built in Oshawa. The seat is one of the ones that doesn't flip forward, and the tank had definitely never been out, so I think this has been relatively well preserved.
Anyone else find anything like this? Be interesting to see if someone else has an Oshawa truck with the same inspector, "15006"! It seems possible that the truck's birthday is Dec 01, 1967, unless that is just the date of the gas tank's manufacture. Being that it is a Canadian truck, I'm going to see if I can get the build docs from GM and check that.

Re: Inspection Tag Thread
GM used to inspect parts that they received from the venders. That is the inspection tag. The gas tank passed so it was sent out to the production floor. There were 29 tanks in that batch.
