47-55.1 '54 GMC wiper motor.....

I am working on a '54 GMC that has an old vacuum operated wiper motor. All of the linkage is there and still hooked up but there is no vacuum line to the motor. The truck has a 327 engine in it now. Where would I pick up the vacuum at? If by chance it works that would be great but if not, where can I get a replacement motor at? LMC only sells electric but only for Chevy's of that year, not the GMC's so I'm guessing there is some difference. Or are the motors easily rebuildable? Suggestions?

There should be a fitting on the intake manifold behind the carburetor.

I have a 54 3/4 ton Chevy out back with the vacuum motor in it if you need a picture to compare.

if it works, you will be very lucky, usually the diaphragm has turned to powder. there are rebuilding guys that advertise on ebay, or did last I looked. my guess is the electric replacement will be cheaper and more reliable, but some of the nostalgic guys will probably want to fight about that. my opinion though is the electric setup will be an upgrade.
