Re: Project two tone.
Still hooked on both haha Unfortunately time and weather hasn't helped with getting back in this one yet. I'm gonna start on it soon though once spring time madness slows a bit and the weather is more paint friendly haha

Re: Project two tone.
Well after to long a pause I'm finally back on the truck with some updates. Got some vacation this past week and I'm finishing it off with some progress on the 66. Got some pieces primed in yesterday and paint is due in today so hopefully later I'll have some updates with all these parts in gloss black and clear.
I also recently got the trans tunnel shifter hole welded in and relocated so I'm happy to paint that up and get it bolted in to finish the interior. Gotta work on the under side of the hood and put some epoxy and fill primer down and do some color sanding so if all goes well I'll have primer laid before the paint shows.

Re: Project two tone.
Well nothing super exciting to update about but the primered parts are now in black paint and curing up. Hood is covered in filler primer and now comes the color sanding for base coat. Weather is supposed to be wet this weekend so not sure if I'm gonna be working on this truck paint wise. Hoping to get the hood painted in before fall sets and the winter prep work begins. lol
Might have to get the buffer out and do some polishing this weekend if it's gonna rain. Got fenders and smaller panels to do.

Re: Project two tone.
Got the hood painted up yesterday. Did color sanding, masking and all the painting in day. Needless to say it was a LONG day haha But glad to have the hood in pain and ready for cut and buff.

Re: Project two tone.
Hard to believe I haven't update this since last year. Time sure flies.
I ended up going a different route with the carb setup as the demon just didn't seem to tune right. Never idled right and seemed sluggish when revved and that's without me even driving it. So I decided to try out the Quick fuel 600 cfm brawler and I'm already happier. Added bonus was this carb also has a manual choke and the demon didn't and nor was a manual one available. Decided to repaint the intake and headers while they were off as some of the paint had cracked and my intake/exhaust gasket cracked so I went a different route with that as well. Plumbed in a fuel pressure regulator and gauge under the air filter for a cleaner and more hidden look and all seems happy at 5 psi. Now to working on the exhaust. I fired it up open headers and about went deaf so it's time to get some exhaust done again. Decided to rout it as far as the axle for now and I'll finish it when the bed is on. Until next time folks! And here's a crap load of pictures lol

Re: Project two tone.
Sure seems like there's light at the end of the tunnel at this point! haha Shoot with a clutch adjust, steering wheel and a bucket she'd roll outta the shop. Oh yeah.....Guess I should get some brakes!
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! I've enjoyed building this and man I sure can't wait to drive it. Gotta get to work on it more for sure! Gonna start working on some exhaust tomorrow hopefully and figuring out some mufflers. I was running flowmaster 40's and I'm thinking of switching to 50's. Hoping to borrow a set from the muffler shop and see how they sound.

Re: Project two tone.
Well I tried out a set of super 44's and in the video you can't tell a whole lot of difference from the 40's but it did make it deeper. I may still go for a set of 50's as she's stinkin loud but man I love me some lope!
Best I can do is a link....if someone can edit my post to make the video actually show Here that'd be sweet! https://flic.kr/p/2njDQJ8
