What's needed for a Sanden 508 conversion?
The R4 compressor on my '85 C10 with 350 SBC has broken, and the previous owner has done a half hearted job converting it to r134. I'm thinking of getting a Sanden 508 and appropriate mounting bracket to replace the R4. What style connectors and drier would I need to retain usage of the OEM style condenser and evaporator? Thanks.

Edit: It looks like shipping is only $42 on the Stage 1 kit. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this company? |

I'm going with Alan Grove bracketry, and I have the compressor, and I can make the hoses, but is the factory clutch cycling switch going to work?

Re: What's needed for a Sanden 508 conversion?
This thread interests me. I have a Dirty Dingo compressor and brackets to go on the 95 GMC, and would like to do a Sanden on the 83 as well, but wasn't sure what was available for the 83. Other than the V belt to Serpentine, any other differences?

You don't have to go serpentine, I'm going with a Sanden 6664, which is double V-groove.
