Moving and storing C10 Cab

Question:

I need to move and store a 1969 C10 Cab. Can I place it on a pallet, on the back window area (firewall up), and move it with a pallet jack? Can I leave it on the back on the pallet or will it cause damage? By the way, the cab is bare.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Re: Moving and storing C10 Cab

I have moved a bare cab firewall down. No damage I don't think I want to put sheet metal down. Why risk it?

Put blocks of wood under the floor braces and leave it standing so you dont have to worry about any new dents.

Re: Moving and storing C10 Cab

I wasn't storing my cab while I stripped the paint and getting it ready for body work I built a dolly out 2x4's that was bit smaller than the size of the cab and then added caster wheels so it was easy to move around. Had about $50 in materials.
