73-80 style 4wd should work.
Thanks,

Do you need the 2 pieces? What exactly are you building? LS conversion?

Is this what you are looking for? I have not actively sold for a while and do not know if I can reply to WTB ads.

Re: WTB high hump trans tunnel

I’m swapping in an Ls mated to a T56. I have an 87 cab 2wd low hump that’s off the frame getting painted and undercoated. After talking to another member about the same swap I want to go ahead and put in a high hump before reassembly. Hey James that appears to be what I am looking for. Thanks, Mike

I am pretty sure that isn't the right one. You need one out of an 81 and newer cab to be long enough to mate to your existing raised area under the seat. i sell these for the converions all the time and the one pictured(color) probably isn't long enough. It looks like a 70s color

Re: WTB high hump trans tunnel

1774btcrew, thanks for the info, I wasn’t aware that there was bolt in hump available for the 81-91 body style. I’ll keep up the search.

Re: WTB high hump trans tunnel

On the 81-83 4wd bolt in hump, the section of the cab under the seat is raised compared to a low hump cab. You will either have to modify/raise the rear section or cut the rear section out of a 4wd cab and weld in

The 84 up 4wd floor high hump is molded (non bolt in) into the floor. Your truck being an 87, an 84 up hump is a better match as where they meet the firewall changed slightly in 84. Second easiest would be an 81-83 bolt in hump with corresponding rear section welded into the cab. The 73-80 hump takes more cab massaging compared to the others to put in an 81-up cab.

If I remember when I get home from work I can get pictures of and 81-83 4wd bolt in hump sitting in a low hump cab, and also the differences between the 81-83 and 84 up 4wd floor humps

Re: WTB high hump trans tunnel

Ok, hopefully this will be clear as mud

First two pictures are of an 84 up 4wd 4 speed hump at firewall and near/under the seat

3rd picture is the 81-83 4wd 4speed hump (this one has the section around the transmission hole cut off center, and turned around placing the hole rearward 3” for an NV4500 swap, retaining original shift boot etc) on an 87 low hump tunnel. Looking thru the t case shifter hole, you can see where it doesn’t conform to the floor, leaving a gap, but this is easily massaged to work.

The last picture shows the gap at the back of the bolt in hump (about 1.5 inches) that you will either have to raise the t case hump to match, or install the rear hump piece from the cab you got the hump from.

I did not get home in time to go to my other place, as I have an 86 2wd 4 speed truck I can compare the hump to the 4wd one, as I believe the 73-80 2wd and 4wd humps are different. I only own 81-up trucks now.

Local is great! Were you able to get a piece of the rear section as well?

It actually fit pretty well but took a little bit of fab and finesse. Thanks for checking in on it!
