Finally Got the Trim On
Got a complete lower body molding "kit" from GMCPauls.
Nice quality, packaged very well, arrived in perfect condition.  Getting each one to line up with the others was another deal...  came out ok though. Glad I went with it, was undecided at first but I think I made the right choice.  |

Looks very sharp. What was the total $. I've got a lot of dings in the trim on my '72 and I'd like to replace it all someday.

Yep,
33x12.5's on 10" alloys w/4" back spacing. 4" all spring lift. Even with this mild lift/tire combo, the "gotta hop in" factor is still there. :p Here's an old post with more pics of it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=green |

Wow- trim looks great! Really brings out that color! Did you use the clips, or the 3M tape?

Trim/Molding
Thanks for the great comments...
 Bouncy, the reciept is under something... but was less than $400Diane, I used a combination of bolt on clips, push in style and just a couple of the plastic clips w/tape. The thing with the tape ones is the thickness of the tape, meaning they don't hold the molding as tight to the body as the other clips do. When I painted the blazer I opened up all the factory trim holes again, so primarily that was why I used the bolt on clips...basically because I could.  cheyenne10, mounting methods as per above. Wisdom/warnings...go slow, be patient. Door trim has a front and back, pay attention to that. If you can, get a helper. My 9yr old daughter was working with me  As long as the body panels are lined up (here's where the doors need to be correct) everything should be ok. I had to "fudge" one hole on the pass. side fender to get it to agree with the door trim. Other than that the install went better than I had anticipated. GMCPauls had answered a post I put up asking about trim quality and provided good info about their's. I would recommend the molding parts they sell, each one was perfect coming out of the wrapper. I did order the metal clips seperatley and was very happy with those also. |

Looks great, I like it with the trim on it, I also like the car seat, mine will have one of those too!!!!!
