Here is some more of my stuff. I enjoy this thread, a lot of cool stuff in here. The Chevrolet metal pieces on the last picture are from a truck I think. Picked them up at a swap meet, but not sure what they came off of.

Here is a sample of brass property tags from various GM locations. These were placed on all equipment in all locations for inventory purposes. Think of a list of all property that needs to be on the Bean Counter's list for tax depreciation schedules. One actually shows up in the 1966 Truck Shop Manual on a piece of test equipment as shown below.
Included here are: Chevrolet Motor Co. - note "Motor Company" so this was prior to it being part of General Motors Chevrolet Motor Div. - from after the formation of GM Chevrolet - from the Chevrolet Central Office bldg at the Warren Tech Center Chevrolet Eng. - from the Chevy Engineering bldg at the Warren Tech Center Chevrolet Engine - from the manufacturing plant in Flint- the home of the Small Block motor Fisher Body Div - from the General Office bldg at the Warren Tech Center Fisher Body Div - from the Central Engineering bldg at the Warren Tech Center Ternstedt Div - from the bldg at the Warren Tech Center GMPG - GM Proving Grounds in Milford Chevrolet Framingham - from the Plant in Mass. Chevrolet Atlanta - from the Plant in Georgia Many of these organizations no longer exist under that name and many of these buildings no longer exist. |
