Someone said that I should put a fuse in-line in the HEI/ignition wire. What size fuse.......how many amps?

Just run it straight...when the wire burns up, you won't have to troubleshoot only to find hours later that you popped a fuse!!

Mine's not fused either, i'm wondering how many amps the distributor pulls, sounds like a good idea, dang I wish I had an inductive pickup for my fluke mutimeter!!

I tried it before. Blew 30 amps at HI RPM. Ran it without a fuse and it worked fine.

You have other probelms if you blew a 30.
Never had any problem with a 5. ------------------
