What is the proper fleetside tailgate opening measurement?

I've reassembled my fleetside box and am in the process of fitting the tailgate. The tailgate is 66". The widest I could get the opening is 66 1/4 - 66 3/8". I may have to oblong the holes and get it a bit wider. Could someone measure their openings width for me? (stupid iphone makes upside down pics)

I will get you one when I go to the garage but is it an OEM gate, there isn't much space, maybe 1/4 on each side if that.
