I was looking at a 67 truck and the frame rail where the motor mounts are just doesn't look right. Has the frame rail been cut on both sides or am I just imagining it?

Re: 67 Frame Rail Question
Ok, thanks. My main concern was if the way it was cut made it unsafe or the frame weaker.

Re: 67 Frame Rail Question
I agree your frame has been cut. Any time the web is cut out it does affect the strength of the frame. If you are concerned about it you either box it in or repair the area and go back to original engine mounts.

Those look like the '73 up POL brackets. If they are, they would use the '73 up engine clam shells for installing the engine. https://www.performanceonline.com/19...engine-mounts/ LockDoc
