Shop Manual Suggestion
After years of wishing I had one today I bought a 1972 Chevy truck. Poor thing is in terrible shape. But for $500 I couldn't pass it up. First thing I need to do is rebuild the carb. I have a kit and the instructions are fairly clear. I figure even I can do this. What I would like to have are suggestions on a good shop manual or any other books or manuals you think I'll find usefull.

You could get it on cd, and just print out the pages you need, here is one I found, said to be made from OEM info,

the original service manuals are available from most vendors for about $20 plus shipping and another good book is the 67-72 assembly manual that shows you how everything is supposed to fit together that's about $35

Welcome from Alabama.
Rick's Pick up parts is running a special on some of the manuals. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=109130 Or depending on where you are may vist one of the vendors at a show to save on shipping. May also check the parts board for some used ones.
