Front Disc's

I have a 71 front end from a blazer w/disc's, just got a 70 swb with drums...is it an easy swap to install the disc's on the 70? Both are 4x4's.
I have the disc/drum master also. I need to swap that at the same time, correct?
Is it worth it? Are the drums really all that bad?

Speaking for myself, after swapping a 71 front end into my 1970 GMC (all 1/2 ton, 2wd), yer damn right its worth it! IMO its the easiest way to go but I have no experience dealing w/ 4X4 units. Just make sure that whats going in is in as good or better shape than whats coming out, ie. steering and suspension. You don't want to throw in a different front end and then find out it needs ball joints, tie rod ends etc.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

swap

My thought was to just change the brake assembly over not the entire axle.
I don't believe the gears are the same from the 70 to the 71 axels anyway.
So to clarify, will the brake parts from a 71 disc axel set up, bolt right up to the 70 axel?
