Fuel line help!
Ok I have and issue. I am restoring my 70 C10 with my rebuilt 350. I have swapped to summit carb and I am trying to figure out how to run my fuel line from the pump to the carb. I seem to have misplaced my original but it had a Q Jet on it before so the line would be different. I want to try and not use any rubber and would like to put a filter in line somewhere between the pump and carb. Here is a pic. The heater hose fitting has since been changed out for a 90 degree allowing plenty of room for the fuel line.

The 3/8 line out of the pump makes a sharp very hard to bend 110 degree, needed to clear the bottom radiator hose, then bends back and hugs the block vertical, and would meet up with what you have...photo from other member...but you get the idea

Hello, It's been a while but I used AN fittings at my carb and pump with a filter just after the carb fitting and then cut the length of line between the filter and the pump fitting. I think I bought them from jeggs. Sorry I cant do pictures.

You would be better off running a hard line from the pump to the carb and putting your filter in the rubber hose in front of the fuel pump.

I put a filter under the cab coming out of the tank and one up by the carburetor on my ramp truck to insure no trash ever gets to the filter inside the carburetor again. The bronze filter in the picture was right before all the new filters where put on, old gas poured into bucket out of tank then had it cleaned at the radiator shop before reinstalling it. Installed new rubber lines and bronze filter. I blew the hard line out good inside the frame rail. I caped the end off under the truck and sprayed it full of carburetor cleaner good filling it up. Caped that end off and let it sit for about 1 hr. Then blew it all out. I did this twice.

If you don't have the goods a decent machine shop can bend a hard line with some measurements and couple pics. Grumpy has me hooked on painting the intake but it is going have to be a bit warmer and have some time to tear it all apart. Maybe after I grab a couple of lock doc's ram horns... Grumpy, you ain't endearing me to the wife!
