1972 GMC Power Steering Pump Comparison to Rebuild
I pulled out the existing PS pump which I believe is an old rebuild from my 72 GMC and purchased a correct rebuild from NAPA but there are differences. See photos below. The mounting holes seem to be in the correct place but the large fill port from the reservoir hose does not exist on the Napa rebuild (its on the right side in the photos). Just wondering if anyone has any comment if the NAPA rebuild is useable? Any input appreciated!

Re: 1972 GMC Power Steering Pump Comparison to Rebuild
The sheetmetal reservoir needs to be removed from your "old" pump and transferred to the "new" pump.
Need to remove the two studs, and the large fitting where the pressure hose attached to R&R the reservoir
