67 GMC rescue

Member Zooza1 found this gem sitting in middle TN and passed it on to me. 67 base model GMC, early production date of August 1966. I brought it back to life and rubbed the mildew and surface rust off of it. 64k mile truck, but PO pulled the L6 and put a SBC 305 in it. For those who know me - yes, I have a 67 model 250 L6 bought and will be installing soon!

Looks pretty good. Did you give it a CLR bath?

Nice to see the inline going back in it.

Comet on the paint, CLR on the wheels and caps.

Re: 67 GMC rescue

Years ago I had a 68 in very similar condition. It was a one owner GMC 1500 custom with one option, WSW tires. Stupid me let it go cheep. Congratulations on a cool pickup...

Re: 67 GMC rescue

Neat little Fenderside and nice job on the clean up. Too bad it wasn't a stock V6. But I love the inlines too!

Re: 67 GMC rescue

Fantastic! I would have never washed the outside. That moss on the hood looked excellent! Love the the turquoise with the base layers & rust showing through. Bet it would look excellent with a shiny clear coat. People pay big money to fake that look.
