Adding A/C to big block--pulley help
I do not need help with compressor brackets so let us leave that alone.
I've spend 3 hours with 27 different tabs open and am more confused than ever. Can someone please just tell me what pulley(s) I need different than I what I currently have on the engine right now? Are they rare and expensive? Do I need a different water pump? Thank you |

Hello, not sure how much I can help, but please give us more information. What year truck? What size motor? Any other belt driven accessories?

Re: Adding A/C to big block--pulley help
I have a set on the ground that has the added pulleys for AC on the crank. I can go look tomorrow and get you a pic and see if there are any part numbers on the parts.
Water pump is there also, I'll check for a number. Smitty

Re: Adding A/C to big block--pulley help
Sorry bout that must have had a brain fart.
1972 3500, 402, only water pump and alternator. No other belt driven items. Smitty, that'd be greatly appreciated if not too much trouble. |

Re: Adding A/C to big block--pulley help
I've never seen someone use a tensioner or back-side pulley like that on an old school V belt before. so that makes be feel better because I was thinking of trying that route.
