Re: post up your camping pics
yeah, they like freeze pops...
Rumble is getting some size to him. he's 43" from his nose to his bum, his tail adds another 18" and he's about 34" to the top of his shoulders (which makes it real easy for him to "counter surf" in the kitchen looking fer food... he weighs in at a tad over 140. i don't think he'll get any taller or longer, but as he ages i assume he will put some more lbs on and bulk up a bit. right now i can't grab an inch of fur on him, he is solid muscle- everywhere. don't think i've ever had a stronger dog, even my mastiff Dixielou was not as strong as him. he's a totally worthy replacement for Dieseldawg "scarface" 'nuther late nite run at the canal, water is getting higher. hard to belive i had the crewcab in there 2 weeks ago |

Re: post up your camping pics
thanks Dale!
actually i'm on a 9 day holiday. a forest fire broke out where we had planned on camping, 2 days before our holidays were supposed to start. they closed down the whole area. kinda last minute screwed with our plans, so we ended up staycationing. i get another 10 days next month, so hoping the fires die down some, but we're making contingency plans just in case this time. been getting a lot done, re-did my stepper canopy, finally changed the upper drivers door hinge on the crew (detent spring broke, got tired of the door squishing mah fingers every time i climb in) some yard work, hiking, been quadding a lot and taking the hounds out a lot. actually after i posted them pics, i took the mutts out again to a secret hidey hole. the dogs know my routine, leave at 5am for work, get home 4-5pm. when i'm home all day, they stick to me like ugly on an ape and work on me...but it don't take much harassing to get me out in the bush anyways...lol off to a secret place... a good sign, road is getting overgrown, no ones been down here.. |

figured it out, that's Rumble's way of cooling down. he was in this pool for about 6-7 mins. |

wife bought me this ultra hi-tech 4 battery charger/tender couple weeks ago. not cheap, 290 clams. thing is pure awesomeness, can even bring dead batts back to life. waaay to much to list what it can do. just clip the leads on every quad and their always 100% charged ready to go- no more "oh ****e, need a boost" before we go noco genius g4 |

Re: post up your camping pics
just got back from 10 in the woods. a little different this yr.
didn't take the crewcab and camper this time. wife's dad insisted we take his class "c" this yr as he is selling it and wanted us to use it one last time before he sold it. should mention her dad is 87 or 88 and this is his "way" of getting his stuff fixed up before he sells it. and ya, had to fix the water pump, a new auto ignitor for the fridge and a few other small things needed fixing. overall it is a pretty nice unit if your into this kind of thing. a '97 ford e350 28' triple e with 80 000 orig miles. runs like a top with lots of power for a big-ass unit, also lots of fuel for this thing- running a 460 like i said, not bad, but not for me. can barely get off paved roads wit this thing, but the one feature i really liked was the awning- 30 seconds and it's out and covering your junk. man, i thought my crew was the orig land battleship.....this pig is almost 50 feet wit the trailer. also notice only 2 quads on the trailer. my 16 yr old son decided to stay home, can't say i blame him, at that age i didn't really want to hang with my parents either. i had no problem with it, wife had major separation anxiety all week.... |

Re: post up your camping pics
oh yeah, didn't find out till we were way out, the gauge on the propane tank don't work. it said half a tank, but ran out the first night- only powering the fridge. lucky i brought a couple 20's for the fire pit.
tons of space, full size bedroom, stove, oven, big fridge, microwave.... |

Re: post up your camping pics
has hot water with a sep. shower/bathroom
dogs were acting like idiots while setting up, so tied them. took Roxie about 20 seconds to tangle herself.... ...and Rumble about 5 seconds to do himself.... |

Re: post up your camping pics
hey, how'd you get over there? i don't know, how did you get over there?
we parked near a salmon rearing stream, they put a fish gate between the two "docks" the dogs are on, collect the eggs and milt and take it to the hatchery. rickety old bridge to get to the other side... with all the forest fires, there's a campfire ban...bummer...oh well, still got our "fake fire" |

Re: post up your camping pics
me and wife went on a real cool quad ride...
road chickens.. then we hit "boulder boulevard" for about 2 miles we rode this. really impressed with the wifey, we're both in our 50's and she has RA and didn't stop. after an hour of bouncing over them even my wrists and shoulders were feeling it. and despite the photos it was about 25% up and down as well. |
