Powder Coat questions
I am in the process of putting a powder coat booth in a friends shop. It is all stainless steel, 8' tall, 7' 9" wide and 15' long. There is currently one furnace that will reach 450 degrees. The second furnace will be in by next week.
We will be doing some of my parts soon. Knowing that there is low temp and high temp coatings has brought the following questions. I plan to do my transfer case and the rest of the drivetrain. Which temp coating is best and do the seals need to be removed? Do you remove all lubes? Just how do you coat items with oils, seals, plastics, ect.?

I have a friend who knows quite a bit about this, so I am somewhat qualified to answer- all lubes need to be thoroughly cleaned off, seals and plastic parts need to be removed. Low temp would probably be fine for the non-engine powertrain components.
