Re: Conservation Forestry Truck
Thanks for all the compliments! I'll have to take some more pictures when I get back to my shop and have some more time to put the final touches on it. Most of my time these days is taken up with being a caregiver for my son - limits the time I can work on the truck! Here is one other picture that I took of the bed - there are two boxes. The smaller box is the radio box for the motorola unit (much bigger back in those days). The larger box is the equipment box (broom rakes, backpack sprayers, axe, hard hats, etc. Hope to get some more pictures soon!
Not to be outdone, my brother Tim had purchased and restored one of the original Missouri Conservation Dozer/Fire Plow units. Attached is a picture of that as well! |

Re: Conservation Forestry Truck
Very nice! If you get bored you should drop by the Pioneer Power tractor show in Eagleville Sept 10-11. They like old stuff.

Re: Conservation Forestry Truck
Those "pipe rails" are the icing on the cake. Great truck and nice job.

Re: Conservation Forestry Truck
Looks great! Did it start out as a forestry truck? Do you have a build thread?

Re: Conservation Forestry Truck
Beautiful job! Preserving history is always special. It's refreshing to see a base model truck restored.
