77 c10 flowmasters

I have had for many months 40 series flowmasters on the truck. To make the one muffler fit on the passenger side I had to flip it so it takes less space. There is about 3 inches between the muffler and the unshielded gas tank. After driving long times the tank is warm on the end. I havent felt the area right beside the muffler after driving yet. Im just feeling the end of the tank from the rear fender well. Is this a problem ? Its been like this for months, but the weather was cool then, its starting to heat up here. Thanks

I agree. I'll be using two 40 series flowmasters too. They will both have heat shields welded on them or around them. Better safe than sorry. :p
