After some education I am now looking for some K10 front stainless dog dish caps. I’m not looking for a perfect pair with nice paint just a straight pair I can afford to buy and blast to powder coat later.

Looking for a set of front 4x4 hubcaps. I plan on restoring them so paint quality is not a priority just straight and not rusted out. Surface rust doesn’t scare me as I plan on media blasting them anyway. Here is a photo of what I’m looking for. Hopefully these don’t cost a fortune…I’m also open to a set of metal caps if someone has them laying around. Photos can be sent to 254-338-1489 as I know some have a hard time posting them here. I don’t believe GM ever made a painted open hub cap. Have the centers of those been cut out?

I have no idea. A buddy of mine has them on his k20 suburban (larger caps) so I just assumed that they were available from GM for the k10s like the polished metal caps but I could be way off. I am new to the dog dish world so I’m open to any opinions. Another board member had these posted for sale (they are no longer available) so I do not know the history of them or if they were cut down.

No authority on this for sure but believe this to be correct. Have never seen a set of "factory" stamped and cut painted K/10 hubcaps. If at all possible look to the center of the cutout sections and see if the inner rim is "rolled" with a curved edge. Even that may not be a true indication. I do know a member here has offered the 3/4 ton caps for the center cutout process in the past but don't think the K/10 half ton caps are offered for such.

Very interesting. I have a few rough caps and I had already considered trying to trim som down so I guess I’ll give it a go. I’m open to any suggestions out there!

So what i did was powder coat a 4x4 SS front pair factory white. Rolled edge already done and durability of powder coated SS

On all 4wds, if the truck didn't have the chrome hubcap option, it came with no hubcaps. I have made (cut holes and rolled the edge) them and also scuffed up stainless 4wd caps and had them powder coated in the past

Painted ones in your post are cut sir. Not rolled and you can see at the very beginning of opening it curves straight up and has no lip to fill the open space. Once mounted most likely wouldn't be able to notice .
