69 short step to fleetside conversion

Ok, even if i love my short step, i have decided to do a conversion.
Is there a brand that stands out, making quality parts close to oem specs?
I would need everything, and going for a steel bed floor, also a thick quality rubber bed mat if possible.

Anyone done this, without lot of fabrications and hassle?

On my old 70 I switched from stepside to fleet then back to stepside. Only issues I remember are rear wiring harness is different and the rear bumper is different between the 2. I had found original beds when I did mine changeovers, so I am not sure about the aftermarket side of things, but the swap is simple

I used aftermarket front panel, two bed sides, rear sill under the tail gate and wheel wells from a local supplier on my 68 C10 project. With the exception of making the holes a bit bigger on the rear sill where it bolts to the bed sides it was very good. I had a mint tail gate to use as a guide.
Check with the suppliers on this web site. They won't lead you wrong.

totally off subject, but is your rear end the long or short axle tubes? if its the OEM shorts, can you take a measurement or 2 for me? trying to get wheels...

Car is in winter storage, so unavailable just now. But it´s stock axle with 20mm spacers.

Well, my buddies isn´t getting younger, and slimmer now a days, so we need more space to sit on the tailgate at cars and coffe 🤪 lol

I will store it, as it´s original to the truck, but fleetside version has been growing in my mind for some time now.

Before I had gotten rid of my first 70, I had planned on using the stepside on a trailer frame, then if I switched back I would have a fleetside style trailer.
