Dimple Dies
Been trying to find a couple of smaller sizes and am coming up short.
Sizes: 1/4''--5/16'' and 3/8'' anybody? Can find larger sizes up to 3'' and smaller down to 3/32'' for aircraft. For some reason those 3 sizes come up blank |

Re: Dimple Dies
Nope, both Hammer fab and trick tools start at 1/2'' and go up from there. Thanks for the links.
What I'm trying to make is a non-slip tread plate out of 18 ga for some custom running boards I'm making for my 91 Suburban, hence the smaller dimples |

Re: Dimple Dies
I just read an article that a guy used some sockets for dimple dies because he didn't have any. I thought it was on here. But I can't remember.

Re: Dimple Dies
Actually I'm not exactly sure what I want. I do want to create a non-slip tread on 18g steel for some frame mounted running boards/rock sliders for my suburban. I thought a smaller dimple would work if I can get a set of dies that I could utilize in an arbor press or on my small bench top hydraulic. Saw some where in my searches that maybe a 3/16 may work.

These would be good for step or tread plate, but it's $195.
