Rust Repair ?????
On my '70 GMC: There is a rust hole on the passenger side just above the windshield below the drip rail. And on the inside of the cab, along the top edge of the windshield it looks like the PO did some "body work" there as well filling this area in to repair there too.
How much of a PITA would this be to repair properly? This isn't the only bad areas that need to be fixed. The usual areas also need to be done such as rockers, corners, and outer floors. I am considering using this truck as a donor and finding another truck that would be more worth while to restore let alone more economincal to do to. Opinions / advise welcome.

Had the same problem in the same spot on mine. 20-20 hindsight, with all the other repairs I did to the cab, I should've got another cab. Didn't have the inside repair panel at the time. Wasn't available. Had to hand fabricate all across the inner windshield at the top. How's the inside look? If you got cab corners, floorboards, rockers to do, ya might wanna consider a different cab. Just my $ .02.

I agree with OhioDan, cause when you start cutting the rust is always alot further along than it looks on the outside. I put alot of work into a cab that had that kind of rust. Found another one, not really looking for it, and ended up scrapping the one I done all the work to. Have to put rockers in the good one but the rest is A-1. Even the cab supports are good. Thats rare for Ohio!
