1 ton cargo rating question

Hi all. I have an 86 C3500. It is my first 1 ton. The sticker in the glove box next to the SPID shows a cargo weight rating of 3710 lbs. Am I understanding this correctly as it is rated for 3710 lbs or is this referring to something else? Thanks in adavnce....

Re: 1 ton cargo rating question

For a 1 ton that is about right. GVW rating minus weight of truck
