What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
It was great to see the swap meets back in Portland, as is the tradition every April. On Thursday I visited the PIR Swap, and on Friday the Expo Center Swap. Lots of C10 content as expected, here are a 'few' of things that I saw.

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
I also noticed a rear seat for a 72 Blazer for $2000.
I noticed a lack of quality in most the truck and pricing like I have never seen before. My favorite was a unrestored truck with a 5.3L transplant for $18K. They even used the stock Silverado fuse block that was butchered in the transplant process. Paid $20 to park, $10 entrance fee, $8 for a beer and $10 for a sausage dog. Advance tickets $4 extra. And yes I had a good time. Picked up some tools there. Weather was excellent. |

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
Nice, I have attended a couple times in the past. I love the big swap meets. Pomona used to be the one I hit many, many times.
Wish I could have attended. Glad you had fun, good weather is also a plus this time of year. |

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
You guys definitely have a nice selection. I highly doubt I find as much as you when our local swap meet happens. In post 2, how much were they asking for the fenders and rad support? I'm curious as prices continue to go nuts the farther west you get.

Don't get too used to it. Fauci and friends have a new tool in the toolbox and it can come out at any time.

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
Thanks for sharing. The 2 blue and white long beds in the first post were 20 yards apart. One C10 Cheyenne 350 and one C20 Super BBC. Almost like going to a dealership.
My big score for the weekend was the custom half of the door emblems for a Custom Camper. Only 2 bucks.

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
$60 ea for the fenders, no price on the core support. Fortunately I was able to zoom in on a high res version of that pic, my memory isn't good enough to remember prices! Fenders were marked sold btw.

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
Thank you. I couldn't get them to blow up. Darn good price on those. I hope I can find some scores at ours this year.

Lots of good stuff! I miss the swap meets. Ours (Spring Carlisle) is coming a couple weeks. I can't wait. First time setting up since Spring '19!

Re: What I saw at the Portland Swap Meets
Thanks for posting and sharing with us. Plan to attend the largest swap meet in the mid-west at the end of this month at Texas Motor Speedway near Denton, Tx. Generally known as "The Pate Swap Meet". Have been gong there pretty regularly for a number of years. Generally upward of 2,200-2,400 actual vendors, not vendor spots. Scheduled, postponed, rescheduled and finally cancelled last year. Really keyed up to go this year, hope it's a good one.
Really liking that blue '68 Chevrolet crew cab. Looks to be very well done, did it happen to be for sale? I'd roll along in that any day of the week for sure. Lots of good parts it looks like and the weather seemed great. Good times to be had by one and all I'm sure.
