Re: Clutch pedal height adjustment

Hard to tell in your pics but it looks like the threaded portion of the pushrod has been shortened. Likely to give clearance for the exhaust pipe.

Re: Clutch pedal height adjustment

3765322 is the wedge that is missing and I can tell from the pics that it was indeed on the outside hole. If your adjusting rod is the same as mine, the back
side of it has some threads on it. I put a self locking nut on mine so that if the linkage ever comes apart I wont lose all the pieces. It is all captured together. Between this and the HEI you should be driving this soon.

Somewhere around the truck you should have this piece hiding.

Re: Clutch pedal height adjustment

Thank you. The rod at the for end doesn't have any threads so I guess I need to check length and get a new adjusting rod . At least it runs now . Lol

The rod at the clutch arm isn't supposed to have threads. That wedge piece that everyone calls a "nut" isn't really a nut because it doesn't have any threads in it, it just slides onto the end of the rod. The long spring holds it all together. The spring goes from the end of the clutch arm to a hole in the bottom frame rail.

What keeps that nut from coming off?

Re: Clutch pedal height adjustment

The spring, pictured in your post #21, hooks on to the clutch fork and keeps tension on the "nut". Here's a link showing the parts in question
