WOW!
That looks like my old truck, used to at least.

Here is a pick when I was taking it apart.
You sure have done a great job! Do you have any lift under it?

more to come

I almost hated to share this so early but I am kind of proud of how its coming together. It will look much better when complete, it is dirty and they really don't look good until all the trim is back on. I'm not doing a lot of the work myself on this one. This is my dads and I was way to slow. I took it upon myself to take if from him and pull all the pieces together including having it painted to get it finished so he can enjoy it. (enjoyment before including scraping through the sage brush, now NOT!

Truck69: its the spray in liner Line-X. Several board members might groan but this dealer has a very good reputation of doing a great job and having it last.

CPNE; I think thats the nicest compliment you've ever given
Seriously I am trying to do this real close to stock. I will modify one of my own!!

no lift

It was amazing on springs, we put brand new leafs under it and it brought it back up quite a bit. Springs weren't too expensive either. I liked it so much I bought a set for my burb, just need to get this one done and get back to burb.

small deviations

Before someone hammers me on it yes I used the 73 and up dog dish caps and front hub knobs, they match the ochre paint color real well. Suttle touch?and dad wouldn't notice

Don't you know though that I will use the 72 blue center caps and knobs on the 72 blue burb!! I do notice

Looking good...
PO had the 73 and up dog dish caps on my longhorn when I got it. I felt about the same, color went along with the body color. light yellow in my case.

I do have issues with the fact you deleted the OE steel upper radiator hose in favor of a single flexible hose. :p

upper steel hose

CPNE;

I have one upper steel hose but I think only one and that might go on my truck!! Might be a nice touch, easy to add Yes it had speakers in the doors when we bought it and it will have am/fm cassette too. Did I mention converting all saddle interior to black and adding tilt and tach.

Intake no, carb yes. Putting a stock carb on it was too "easy"
