Newbie needs help with Brakes

Hey guys, I just picked up a 94 Chevy Long bed 2wd with a 350 k / 4l60e. I am having problems with the passenger front brakes. It keeps locking up on me. I've bled the system, and the pads are new. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Probably a sticking caliper... if you replace one side, it is best to replace both.

I had a similar problem with my 86 Chevy truck and it turned out to be the rubber hose that attached to the caliper. Where it was attached to the top of the A frame, it had rusted inside the clamp and squeezed the hose shut so the pressure would not release. The only way to fix it was to replace the brake hose. I replaced the caliper and pads before I found the problem. GM may have fixed the problem on your year. Good luck...

I have a 91, same kind of problem.

Replaced both calipers and pads, what a difference.

I'll try replacing the calipers and see what happens. Thanks for the advice.

Try pressing the offending caliper piston back into the bore. If it moves smoothly, replace the hose (preferably both fronts). If it doesn't, crack the bleeder and try again. It it still doesn't, replace both calipers.
