I don't have to deal with goatheads in my area. The east coast south of the Chesapeake Bay starts having sand spurs that are bad news for bare feet. What I do have to deal with right here in my yard is this ground cover I planted somewhere I can't even remember, and it's spreading itself all over the place. It takes the grass over. It gets tiny purple flowers in the spring. I don't know how it spreads itself, but I have patches all over. Makes me wonder if I'll end up with it all over, with no grass left. If I had no other reason to spray weed killer on my grass, this is a good enough one. It's pretty, super comfortable to walk on, and it just tufts up. Doesn't really need mowed.

When I go for a haircut I tell the gal I'm there to get my brows trimmed but might as well cut my hair while she's at it.

I don't know about that nasty snarlygaster wasp being harmless to humans. We don't have those, either, so I looked them up. Effecys from their sting are:

- Abnormal swelling of face, lips, and throat

- Red bumps and itching on other parts of the body

- Respiratory issues

- Dizziness

- Hypotension

I'll make sure I get my eyebrows trimmed before coming out that way!

Last time I got stung by a bee, my hand swelled up like a balloon. I couldn't even bend my fingers. I'd hate to see what that wasp would do.

So true. The designers seem to want the trucks with angry "faces", or maybe that's what sells?

Sometimes when I rub my face, the brow hairs come down and poke my eyes. I swear that I suspect spiders, first.

That's what I was thinking looking at the boats. What would it cost to run around in the big blue boat all day? Or any boat for that matter. I always said I'm fine with letting others buy the boat, I'll buy the gas. I'm keeping my mouth shut now!

ya, is so true...we went from aero-blob styling to angry transformer look.
at least my kids Firebird don't have the angry look...in fact in another day or two, it's gonna have the "cool" look.
rims showed up today, not the classic Cragar S/S's we wanted, but the modern look 5 spoke should match the era of his car better. just waiting for the Cooper Cobra's to show up now....wanna talk an excited kid?!!!

Those look great. It's funny how rims can totally change a car.

Wheel locks? Do they ever have a key? I've known plenty of people including myself that had to fight those ridiculous things. But I don't know anyone that ever had their wheels stolen. All they do is complicate things when you need to change your tires.

Random shot of my brother (not the one that died) and his jackass.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

The one on the right?

I haven't put wheel locks on anything in over 40 years. I came to realize my vehicles are never at risk enough to justify the disadvantages. I've had different issues from different locks that I had the key for. The worst kind were the actual cut key type that locks a smooth shield over the nut that just spins free of the nut itself. Plus, there are only so many keys of any type. Way less variations than ignition/door lock keys. Anyone who is stealthy enough to come out here to steal my wheels would have the keys

A new set of tires, a battery, and fresh gas oughta do it for this truck

you're right on the money.i have some cars,my wife too with nice wheels and not a wheel lock in sight.before i retired from CAA(AAA in the states) i went to help a lady with a brand new VW convertible and a flat tire.i commented on the nice wheels and no wheel locks?she said that's right,i'll never have them again so i asked why.she said the VW was new,her previous car,a Honda Prelude was written off,all because the wheel thieves were around, saw the lock nuts and knew the socket to get them off,was in the car in all likelyhood.they broke in destroyed the door lock, door handle and damaged the door then just for a kicks i guess, destroyed the inside of the car looking for the lock socket, found it and stole the wheels anyway.the estimate to repair the car and all the new interior, was more than the car was worth?she wasn't a fan of lock nuts any longer.
