A truly rust free passenger side is certainly hard to find

These came off an Arizona suburban that the owner lowered and put tubes on

Raining today so I repainted the grille bowtie I think the color is to red and shiny compared to the fender emblem . I used satin paint maybe flat would be better

The ''Red'' color of the Sixties Bowtie was more of a Tomato red than Crayola Red. Redder than Chevy Engine Orange or Hugger Orange but not as red as fresh blood. [The same color was used on the cover of the '67 Chevy Truck Owners Manual.]
Your new paint looks pretty much like they did when brand new. [At least as far as one can tell on a computer. In person, in full sunlight, it may be more obvious.]
Red is a color that tends to fade from Sun exposure.

Keep what you got and move on. If it bugs you, use the same color on your other badges, so they all match.

I dont think it will be to noticable as they arent close to each other on the truck. I was going to buy a new one but I think it will be fine on the truck . And it’s an OEM piece

I'm not sure if its just the picture angle but why is the wheel so far ahead and not centered in the opening ???

The box is sitting back on the frame so the sanding tools don’t scuff the clear coat on the back of the cab…..

First picture was deceiving.

Got the new wire drive wheel for the mig . Night and day difference welding light steel . After I blasted the fender I found a few perforations so I cut more out of the donor fender .

Need to clean up the engine bay but I finally got the last little parts to get my belt drive system installed. This is the same setup I run on my suburban. Stock fan shroud with a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee electric fan works great in the arizona heat. Having ac next summer will be so nice
