rear backing plates

On the 71 c10 rear I am rebuilding for my 66 c10 I'm in need of the backing plates and after a bit of searching I can't seem to locate anyone selling them new. what I did find was a guy on marketplace with a healthy collection of these trucks from 60-72. I have him looking for a good set from a 71 or 72 and my question is, would c10 trucks from 64-72 all be the same backing plates if they have the gm 12 bolt with 11" brakes? I need all the other pieces as well like the ebrake lever, self-adjuster arm, etc. and I may as well take those if in useable condition and are compatible

Re: rear backing plates

I'm pretty sure they are, but get pictures to make sure.

Re: rear backing plates

The 63, and I think 64, truck 12 bolts have press on backing plates. 65+ truck 12 bolts have bolt on. I believe they are the same, but I'm sure someone knows for certain.

On the brake hardware parts, get stuff from 65 at the oldest so you can have the self adjusting parts and pieces

One might wonder why I dont use the backing plates off my 66 and I briefly considered that but I have 2 interested parties who want the 66 6 lug diff and probably want it complete. I was also wondering if there were design changes in 73 and up square body trucks

As for the early c10s having pressed on backing plates is just cruel engineering, thank goodness they got away from that setup.
