Can you use a one piece drive shaft in a 72 1/2 ton lwb?

According to my DS guy yes. He can make one for about 250 or so. But I'm pretty sure that is just for the shaft and labor and not the trans yolk and the u-joints. I think with new yolks and joints then it would be a litle more. Around 400 or so, but he says he does it "all the time".

That price may include it all.

I had one built for my truck awhile back and it was 200 bucks total, including new TH400 yoke and new U joints.

Todd, the shop to use is Ft Worth Gear and Axle.

Is there any modifications that need to be done to the crossmember? ie. Will the one piece rub where the 2 piece had its pivot point?
