New Burb owner
Hello folks, new to the 60-66 truck line, but not new to the board. I usually hang out in the square body forums but recently picked up a 63 suburban. A good buddy got it from Washington state a few years ago, and it sat outside for a while. Im doin some work for him and so we worked out a trade.
Im told it is a 1963 Chevy suburban, but I'm not sure. Has a Chevy cluster and rear door handle, but GMC horn button. Has rear leaf springs, not coils. The vin tag was removed and replaced with a state of Washington vin tag. Has a different front clip, and it has a GMC grille...so I dunno. Maybe some of you experts can let me know if there are any other places for a vin. Has a little bit of rust in the lower kick panels, but rest of the truck appears to be solid. Will need a n ew front clip. Couple dents here and there, but heck its 60 years old. No plans as of yet, just wanted to get it inside. It doesn't have a motor, but I do have an L76/6l80 drivetrain set that could fit in it in short order...ha ha ha. Bubba |

Re: New Burb owner
Nice find! The dash is 100% Chevy. My guess is that the truck probably got wrecked at some point and a previous owner found a GMC front end to replace it with
