What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
Since my 70cst isn't 100% factory ... slight upgrades. I decided I needed to upgrade my headlights. I may wait until is warms up a little but light upgrades is my next project.
1) I purchased a set of used Wrangler Rubicon 2015 headlamps - these are a direct fit. 2) H4-H13 conversion pigtails 3) AUXBEAMS LEDS 9008 for the headlights and 1157's Parking lights. Thnaks to LockDoc for passing this idea on. Whats your winter projec?

Re: What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
I am swapping my stock bench seat out with bucket seats. I am converting early high backs over to low backs. Got the seat frames pretty much done. Just waiting on some dry weather so I can move cars around so I can yank the bench out and start figuring out seat track mounting and the "adaptor/riser" I need to make. Got the seat covers in a couple months ago. I have had the seat foam for awhile now. Got the console restored. I am down to just actually making it fit in the truck.

Finishing the wiring, Painting the cab floor, pulling the rear end for paint and new trailing arm bushings plus the 5-lug axle conversion. Also building the exhaust.

Re: What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
I sold every single part and vehicle I have that is pick up style truck related, C10-20-30, all of it. Most of it has been picked up or delivered, hope to have the rest picked up or delivered by end of January. The only thing I kept is my 72 Burb and my 69/68 panel. Both of those are back in body and paint. Whichever is ready first will come home to play with. I have two people that have been sniffing around the panel, not getting my hopes I till they show me the money haha.
Ive had several cool truck projects open themselves up to me, but I have passed (shakily lol). And Im still waffling on what to do with my Corvair.

Re: What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
Finally getting to repairing my Rocker Panels. Should take about two weeks, start to finish.
Then its on to putting the new carpet in. Then tearing the old bed wood out Then pulling the box off to sand blast, prime and pant the inside, front, bed front ant back of the cab. Then prep the rest of the truck for paint. Paint and Buff. The last thing will be doing the Front Disc brake conversion Needless to say, Ill be busy Good luck to all in achieving their goals |

Re: What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
I'm hoping to have all my rust repair completed and body work finished and ready for paint in spring...just trying to match my patinad original black paint on rockers, inner doors, fender bottom. Gotta get a windshield put in, reassemble the front sheetmetal, do exhaust, lower the truck, reassemble the interior...I.m stopping now because I realize some of this stuff will be on the 2024 list!

Hopefully getting a built 700r4 installed in this thing, to solve the hi-revving of the TH350 at highway speeds.

Taking the 72 Super Longhorn Camper Special to the frame. Hope to have it Cummins swapped and running good enough to drive to C10’s in the Park in Sept.

Re: What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
Well my Winter Project started 3/4 years ago when I talked to a friend about replacing the getting tired 89,000 mile 350 engine in my truck. Things started to evolve from there after deciding which way to go with the engine swap. So basically over this Winter my truck is getting the newly rebuilt, not the original 350, small block as well as a complete new front end with new steering box and p/s pump as well and she is getting a slight 2 1/2 - 4 suspension haircut and some interior tweaking too. So after 3/4 years of gathering parts and planning, everything is being installed over this Winter..

Re: What Winter Projects do you have lined up?
I began referring to my winter projects as Hybernation projects. This winter I am going to swap out the SM465 for a T56. Past projects have included an axle swap, and fuel tank relocation, also posted on my you tube. Check them out and comment.

I need to do that speaker mod. But likely only the passenger side, since I have the in-cab gas tank. .
